Recording and recordings

Choose Off, Regular, or Silent recording and understand entitlement, attestation, and media states.

Recording modes

  • Off: no recording is requested.
  • Regular: requires Paid Recording and plays the required announcement only to the answered recipient before recording starts.
  • Silent: additionally requires the Silent Recording entitlement and an active typed account attestation. It has no announcement or beep.

Make recording available

  1. Confirm the required recording entitlement is active in Billing or your trial.
  2. Open Recording settings and review the saved workspace policy separately from effective availability.
  3. For Silent recording, complete the typed attestation as the individual holder or authorized organization representative.
  4. Enable the intended workspace policy and allow members when applicable.
  5. Open Personal settings and save the eligible recording default.

Recording media states

  • Processing: the call or media copy is not ready yet.
  • Available: authorized playback and download are ready.
  • Failed or Needs attention: processing did not complete and requires investigation.
  • Unavailable: the media cannot currently be accessed.
  • Deleted or Expired: retention or deletion completed and playback is no longer available.

Your responsibility
